Finds at Hobby Lobby

A Recent Trip to Hobby Lobby

I recently went to Hobby Lobby to get some new materials to work with and this is what I came home with.

The large bowl at the left of the picture comes in various colors. If you can see the sticker, it costs $2.99 plus tax.

The small clear bowl at the upper right of the picture is actually half of one of their spherical Christmas ornaments. These come in various sizes and are quite useful, but all are clear.

The things at the lower right are some sort of bead. They come in the same colors as the large bowls, and are made of a similar material.  I think that they are $1.50 per bag, and my bag came with 249 pieces in it. They are round on one side and flat on the other.

The plastic which these items are made of is a brittle styrene, much like CD cases.  Care must be taken when working with materials like these, or you could ruin your work.  I recommend using saw blades with a high number of teeth per inch, or TPI.  This plastic can be adhered with regular model glue.
